Fundraising & Events

Bishopthorpe Pre-school Playgroup relies on fundraising for the majority of its basic supplies from craft materials to toilet rolls! Many fundraising events and activities are planned by a team of volunteers and staff throughout the year.

Activities range from large organised events such as the Annual Toy Fair to smaller activities such as Fundraising Christmas cards.

We have had a busy few weeks of fundraising. We were luckily enough to be chosen for the bucket Collection at York Races and raised an amazing £1091.40. A week later we had the pleasure of being involved in Bishopthorpe Community Festival and our stall raised a further £318.

We are always on the lookout for more volunteers so please consider joining in. You can do as much or as little as you like and we guarantee it will be fun and a good way to meet other parents. If you’re interested in helping out please contact one of the committee or speak to one of the staff who will point you in the right direction.

Nearly new baby and children's clothes sale

Due to the success of our baby and children's reloved clothes sale last year, we have decided to run the event again.

We invite people to gather up all their preloved childrens clothing and donate it to Playgroup. We will sell all doantions on the day. This year, we are also collecting equipment to sell too.

We are more than happy to accept donations from 22nd March 2024. Any donations  can be dropped off at 76 Acaster Lane at anytime or at Playgroup, The Pavilion on Ferry Lane between 9.00am and 3.00pm Monday to Friday.

Contact us on Facebook 'Bishopthorpe Pre-school Playgroup and Tiny Tots' for further details or email bishpgtoyfair@outlook.com for further details.

Look forward to seeing you all there!
